Brian Tovey was born in Birmingham, England in 1943. He was encouraged to draw and paint by his father at an early age. After leaving school he joined The City of Birmingham Parks Department and whilst at the Kings Heath Horticultural College he painted many botanical subjects. Because of its training his 'Flora and Fauna' are beautifully depicted. His painting of the countryside, its people, crafts and wildlife is readily appreciated for its detail by the farming communities of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. It is from these counties that he finds his inspiration.

Brian's father travelled extensively around  the Birmingham painting and drawing prominent landmarks of the City of Birmingham. As a result of this many influential people have commissioned him.

Brian has been successfully established for over 40 years and you can locate him at 131 High Street, Henley-in-Arden running  his own gallery.

You are welcome to come and browse at your convenience and see the many splendid originals and prints, some of which include the print of the Birmingham Bull Ring depicting the 1950's, All Saints Church, Kings Heath (as seen above), Desert Orchid and Red Rum.
